Hotels, ski and tourism
IT infrastructure for hotels, ski and mountain tourism
Systems that hold up in high season: PMS, POS, bookings and guest network working when the hotel is full.
Data in Andorra. Continuity in Spain.
In Andorran tourism the load concentrates into a few weeks and any outage hits reception, food service and ski pass sales immediately. Infrastructure has to be sized for the peak, not the average, and the guest network must stay separate from the management network.
Situations we find
- PMS and POS depending on an ageing server in the hotel basement.
- Guest network and management network sharing the same segment.
- Connectivity failures in season, when the most revenue is at stake.
- Seasonal staff with constant user onboarding and offboarding.
What it includes
Hosted management systems
PMS, POS and booking applications in a hosted environment, sized for the season.
Segmented network
Separation between guest, management, POS and device networks, with access control.
Continuity and backup
Verified backups and a recovery plan so reception can keep operating.
Seasonal user management
A fast, traceable onboarding and offboarding procedure for temporary staff.
How we work
- 1Assessment: inventory of systems, network and points of sale before the season.
- 2Design: peak sizing, segmentation and contingency plan.
- 3Deployment: changes outside high season wherever possible.
- 4Support: reinforced monitoring during the busiest months.
Frequently asked questions
- Can it cover several properties?
- Yes. The environment can be shared across properties with separate permissions, or kept independent depending on the management model.
- What about the PMS vendor?
- We coordinate with them. Seintec takes on the infrastructure while the vendor maintains the application, with technical requirements validated in advance.
- Can infrastructure be prepared only for the season?
- Sizing can include extensions for the busiest periods; the specific terms are set out in the proposal.
- Does it cover the guest Wi-Fi?
- It is included in the network design, separated from management systems and with access control.
Ideally the infrastructure is reviewed before the season starts, not during it.
